Is this a good cam for my application
Is this a good cam for my application
I am building a 383 solidroller and I was wondering peoples thoughts on this cam 248/254 .614/.621 on a 112 LSA.
The heads will be afr 210`s comp ported
http://store.jandjspeedshop.com/prod...products_id=62
the compression will be 11.96:1
I am going with the kook 1 7/8" headers
58 mm tb
42 lb injectors
ported LT4 intake
I am putting a manual valvebody in my A4
restalling my T.C to 4000 from the 3000 it is now
I am also putting a 12 bolt with a spool and 410 gears
this car will be 90% strip and 10% street.however it is a 90 min drive to the track I hope 90 min at 3000 rpm isnt to hard on a solid roller
any thoughts are welcome
I am hoping for 425 rwhp through the A4 and 12 bolt and 10.90`s on motor.
I should also mention I plan to use a 250 shot also later in the season and I hope this cam is N2O friendly

I know there are some cam experts in here and due to the fact this is a custom application a serch would be no help.I really need to figure out a cam soon

Re: Is this a good cam for my application
I would deffinately be looking for more out of the motor than 425rwhp on a solid roller with almost 12:1 CPR. But spraying what you want to spray I woulg go with a cam with a little bigger split in the duration... something like a 246/256, but deffinately something with ATLEAST 8* of seperation.
