good cam
Picking a cam has alot to do with maximum RPM you are willing to take the engine to and minimum RPM that you need power. Some more important things are driving style, how much choppiness you like or can put up with, A4?, stall size?, 6 speed?, other mods?
There is not 1 cam for everyone. Most people chose between the Comp XE 224-230 or the 230-236. The 224-230 is mild enough to work with an A4 and mild gearing and still pulls to 6000 RPM (or higher with heads). The 230-236 would need a stall or 6 speed, 4.10 gears, etc. for best results. It has a rougher idle and would "need" tuning more than the 224-230. The 230-236 will pull higher than the 224-230 but make less power below 3000 RPM that the 224-230.
They have smaller and larger cams but these 2 seem most common. How you answered the questions at the top would go along way and getting the right cam for you.
I would call Combination Motorsport at 702-798-8504 and they can help you pick a cam. They have good prices as well.
