Going in for a tune-up, what to do!?
Going in for a tune-up, what to do!?
Ok, once I get my car [will get it within the week], I will be taking it in for a full tune-up. What all parts/stuff should I get? Here's what I'm already planning.
Moroso Intake [get rid of the factory airbox].
Oil change [what weight Mobile 1 should I go with? 10w30?].
Oil filter [mobile 1, what's the number for it?].
Spark plugs [I want to use NGK's, what's the plug gap for a 97 Formula?].
Plug wires [taylor or msd 8mm].
Transmission fluid/filter/gasket [what fluid should I use in an auto?].
Rear end differential fluid [what fluid should I use, it also has a posi].
Fuel filter.
Is there anything I'm missing?

Not sure what the answer is for some of your questions, but make sure you get GM limited slip additive to go in with the new rear end fluid. This is important.
Re: Going in for a tune-up, what to do!?
Stock Plug Gap is .050". I went with NGK Tr-55's when I did my full tune-up/header install. Oil is pretty much up to you, 10w-30 is fine however the factory recommendation is 5w-30 I believe. Let's see, plugs, wires, oil&filter, air filter, fuel filter, tranny fluid (most people suggest using regular Dexron III with no additives), rear end fluid with limited slip additive and you should be good to go.

Dude - where are you taking it? you are probably looking at $1000 in parts and labor and you could do most of that stuff yourself or with some help from someone who knows even just a little about cars.
There's lots of info ont he board here, just do a little research!
Good luck!

I agree that you should DIY most of this unless you have money to burn.
Although the detailed questions about what to use make it sound like you are DIY? You don't need to know plug gaps and filter P/N and all that if you're taking it to a shop.
Year and mileage and last time things were changed would be useful here.
Assuming you don't know any history and it's got some mileage on it I'd add:
O2s
PCV
coolant
radiator hoses
brake fluid
PS fluid
alignment
I assume you already checked all the wear items like pads, bearings, etc.
