Arrow Going to Get Injectors.. Few Q's

Going to probably get these http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/m...Code=M9593B302 (thanks for the link in my other post guys).

I'm probably not going to heavily mod my car but am thinking it might be worth it to "step up" from the stock 24# injectors. I will be getting the computer reprogrammed for the larger flowing injectors should I get them...

Will these adversly affect my fuel economy or idle?
Would anyone suggest I stick with the 24's rather than the 30s?
Does anyone know what tunercat settings i need to change my computer to? (OBDI 95Z).

Thanks for the help...

I don't think you need them. I was told by Lloyd Eliot that the stock injectors are good until 340 RWHP.

I wouldn't. These car's injectors don't see that high of a duty cycle for the need to upgrade to 30lbs. People usually start looking at the injectors until after a big heads and cam swap. There's no real need for you to upgrade at least at this point that is.

A slightly different opinion.... since you are already buying new injectors, AND you are planning on reprogramming the PCM, there is no real "down side" to get a set of 30# injectors. It will keep your duty cycle nice and low. And there will be no negative affect on idle quality or fuel economy, as long as the reprogramming is done properly.

You also have to recongnize that there will be no performance increase as a result of the larger injectors at your current level, and you will have to up the HP rating quite a bit to even begin to push them hard.

If you plan to make some big HP in the future, buy the 30's now. If you never plan to push up to the limits noted above, stay with 24's. There are people who claim to be putting down more than 400rwHP with stock 24's, but that almost defies logic, or at least defies the assumptions made in the online injector sizing programs.

Thanks for the differing opinion. Since the cost is the same for 24# as for 30# injectors, and there will be no noticiable problems with either set. I guess it would make sense to opt for 30# injectors since "if" the car were ever cammed I'll never need to worry about upgrading the injectors.

Anyone familiar with modifying the injector settings in tunercat? What would the proper settings be for 30# ford injectors? Or does anyone have any links to tables with the information I'm looking for. Thanks!
