nop, the pcm wasn't re-programmed. The rebuilt was everything internal to the engine.

Me too!! But I have yet to touch it. Maybe they are best left alone. But I really want to do a heads/cam project.

Is your oil pressure fluctuating at idle as well? If so its a bad bearing.

Take it back to the builder.

It's gonna go up and down with RPM, especially if the RPM is fluctuating that much!!

Sorry to hear about you guys bad luck but my LT1 is the best Hotrod/Streetcar I have ever owned period. I bought it with 60kmi. and I drove it for 3 yrs over 40kmi w/o changing **** and the car ran 12.60's with a 100shot of nitrous. I pulled the engine and trans down over a year ago and rebuilt the whole thing and it now runs low 12's N/A and low 11's on the gas with the only problem being the trans has burned up on me a couple times and that is b/c I had a ****ty builder. I have never had a car that ran 11's in the 1/4mi. that I could drive anywhere, get decent mileage 18-20 hwy and be this dependable. Later Clint

it seems that it may be the wires causing this problem but it seems to be common..

i have to jump in on this. i think i have a love/hate relationship with my lt1. there are times when life couldnt be better and love everything about the car. ...and then there are times when i think about running it into a telephone pole. i think back to when i originally bought this car, and i dont think that i havent had one single month where something hasnt gone wrong with it. oh well. i do have to say though, ill never get rid of it. too much money already invested and cause when it is running, nothing brings a smile to my face faster than ripping through those gears.
