My buddy put a gm847 in his car and he is in the process of put the acces. back on. He went to put the opti-spark back on and he said the hole in the center of the cam is too small for the opti-spark to slip on. This isn't his first cam install, what could be wrong?? The car is a 95 TA.

Please indicate what year car you are talking about. Is it a genuine 847 cam? I would think that they would have the ½" hole in the front for the vented opti. Haven't heard anyone else complain about it. He's not trying to use a pre 95 cam gear is he?

 

He explained it to me over the phone, and then called me back 10 minutes after I had posted and said that the timing gear wasn't right. Thanks for the help.
