GM847 Cam Install Questions

Going to start the 847 cam install this weekend and would appreciate any advice on "gotcha's" or things I should measure. I will be staying with the heads in my sig which have the LPE double valve springs and titanium retainers. I already have hardened push rods and am running stock lifters. Should I replace the lifters? I am using 1.6 roller rockers. Thanks in advance...and I'll post dyno numbers after I get it tuned.

If you can, degree the cam. Intake centerline on the GM847 is 107 degrees BTDC. with the regular marks mine cam to 102 degrees, I had to retard it 4 degrees to get it as close as I could.

I use stock replacement lifter too, however I have 1.5 roller rockers. Comp Rs in your case would be better.

Grease,

I am the guy in Tulsa. I think I spoke with you on the phone before I purchased the cam...sorry...not good at remembering names. If you are the person I spoke with, I still have your contact info at home I believe. I may give you a call if it's ok. Do you think I will have any clearance issues with the 1.6 RR's. Also, I want to degree the cam with the heads on the car. Do I really need to take the heads off to degree accurately?

Thanks,

Loren
