Has anyone used the GM oil pump with the white spring? GM PART # 12555884? They claim it holds 65-70psi and operating speed. Would this be over kill for my car when i do my cam swap? for some damn reason i have a drop in presure at 4k rpm at wot i need to fix.

 

Not sure what pump that p/n is for, unless it is for the SBC LT-1 (not LT1, like we have).

You want the stock 3/4" inlet pump with the white spring.

 

Ahhh, i didnt think about the old LT1. Thanks for the reminder, i bet thats exactly what it is. I guess i wil just get a new stocker with the white spring and hope it fixes my drop.

 

Some 94s came with the 5/8 inlet pump. Get one for a 95 or later and you will be ok. P/ns for all these items are in my part numbers list.
