what would it be like with a gm 847 cam with stock heads on a 97 Z28 M6 with longtubes and CAI? i want to do either an 847 or comp 306, i dont drive it daily and i will eventually upgrade the heads.

Re: Gm 847

do a search, its done all the time, expect to spend over $1000 to do it right with the new valvetrain to support the cam. mine drives fine and doesn't really surge at all, thats in the good tune...

Re: Gm 847

there is a guy locally that did that but, you will need to add the following to make it work... roller rockers of some type preferebly 1.6s and bigger springs because your stock springs won't be able to handle the big lift of the 847. Even if you go with the 306 you still need to change the springs and would not a good idea to do either cam without the roller rockers. If you had the cash go with one of the LE heads/cam packages.
