GM 847 and 1.6's?

Will the 847 cam work with 1.6 rockers, the heads will handle the lift im more concerned with piston to valve clearence im running forged flat tops with stock size valve reliefs. Also I have comp springs recommended for the cc305 will they be sufficiant?

If you valve relifs are the same as stock you should be fine with a stock head gasket and your heads not milled any. Just to be sure you could do the play dough method.

BTW I doubt the springs made for a cc305 are going to work for the GM cam because the lift numbers are so big on the GM cam.

Yeah you need a spring that can handle at least .600 lift for a cushion. Also check retainer to guide clearance.
