Getting up to 20 deg. of knock
Getting up to 20 deg. of knock
Been having this problem for a long time and now I really want to fix it. I was loosing timing like crazy down to 14 deg. during WOT and it's been killing me in power. I would get up to 6 deg. during idle.
I have the lt4 knock module in there, but can't really tell if it's real knock or false. Has anyone had a bad knock sensor? or a block sensor?
I have FLP headers with a 398 Stroker. NO exaust leaks, and no AIR with capped EGR. I am planning on replacing the sensors soon, but wondering if it could be something else
any suggestions?
thanks
Darko

Hopefully you are not experiencing real knock. I would splash in some 103 octane unleaded and see if anything changes. If not, then you can be reasonably sure its false knock.
Any vibrations or rattling going on that could be setting off the knock sensor?
