...and many more. Basically after asking myself and searching old posts all anyone has said is use throttle cable and cruise control cable from a non ASR car. Cool. BUT I would also like to keep my ABS. Someone please tell me how to retain the ABS function.

If you guys are reffering to ASR then thats the rear wheel traction control that reduces tire spin when traction is low. If you are removing this because you are tired of pushing the button then there is an easier way. (SLP makes a part that reverses the ASR module from being on by default to off - basicly start the car and ASR will be off until you turn it on). If you are removing ASR completey for reasons i dont know why (its actualy a good thing to have when ur tires are bald and you have extreme weather conditions) then that is a totally different story.
Removing it is simply for clearing out the massive big black box on the drivers side valve cover. I agree its a nice feature, but not necessary. Removing it is no different than removing EGR or AIR except ASR can be useful at times. I have no need for the ASR and would like the box to be gone.
