DTC 26 = Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve circuit

There is a problem with the solenoid or the wiring.

DTC 77 = Cooling fan relay control circuit

It isn't unusual to get the fan code because of the manual switch being added to the circuit.

on the evap, there is only one wire that plugs into that thing i believe and it is plugged in. again, i've never had any codes from the fans previously after 5k miles of driving on the manual fan switch setup. do you happen to have a schematic for the fan circuit to the pcm? I'd like to try and hook it back up to the computer. the previous owner had a problem with the fans and half assed the job by putting a switch on it. thanks.

The EVAP solenoid could be burned out (open circuit) or shorted out. Put an ohm meter across the solenoid terminals to check.

There's a diagram of the fan control circuit on Shoebox's Tech Pages. Look at the PCM wiring diagrams. They are for a 95, so they will be different from your 94. I think he has a diagram showing the "early" 95 setups, which should be similar to the 94. There are also diagrams for installing fan switches for both OBD-I and OBD-II:

You can get some fuel smell buildup in the back of the car near the fill cap, without the EVAP system.

The EVAP purge solenoid is on the PASSENGER side, middle of the intake manifold on a bracket. The solenoid on the DRIVER'S side is the EGR vacuum.

Shoebox has all the details on his website:

replaced the evap solenoid and it's still throwing code. i disabled the code through the tunercat program for now, but how can i trace the wiring and see if it is bad? is there aground somewhere?

There are two wires to the EVAP solenoid. The brown wire supplies +12V from the Ignition fuse. The dk green/white wire is the ground, provided by the PCM (pin D10) when it activates the solenoid.
