Getting 12volts on the distributor reference low wire
Getting 12volts on the distributor reference low wire
now should I be getting like 4-5 volts negative on this? Im getting 12 volts negative. I just did a new optispark and now I got this and we all know 12 volts - on the coil = no spark. So thats where Im at right now. Is it another dead optispark outta the box? That would suck! I pulled it all apart again down to the optispark to see if the coil wire was shorting somehow on the water pump but it still wont crank
I need some help here guys. I swapped the optispark and it still wont fire up. Im not getting the right signal from the optispark or the ignition module. You think the computer is gone? You think I got bad grounds what?
im not getting any help with this am I?
I swapped the Optispark again and still nothing. I got no fire at all.I didnt volt check it but Ill bet its still getting 12+ instead of 12-. The "new" one looked used so I sent it back and reinstalled the 2nd one being as It looked new. The blue o-rings had the paint worn off the 3rd optispark, thats why I said it looked used.
I talked to Brian over at pcmforless and he said that some guys are getting dead optisparks straight outta the box from GM. Maybe thats it. I dont know
