Gas smell and high speed loss of power?

I had a high speed hesitation..I changed plugs/wires..well it stopped stumbling like it was...its a good bit smoother, but it still seems to lack alot of high speed power..like above 80 or so. I also often smell gas when I get in the car.
Next step for me is to get the fuel system check, fuel pressure and injectors I guess(should I do this first)? Fuel filter is new.

Anyone have experience with something else that maybe I could use to troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Not too sure but I'll try to help ya out. I'd check the fuel pressure regulator's O ring to make sure it doesn't have any cracks and the send and return fuel lines for a possible leak.Check the fuel lines first cause they're the most easy to get too. Then the Regulator's O ring. A drop in fuel pressure would explain poor performance.Hope I helped
