gains with .110 LSA over .112 LSA
What are the typical gains having a cam with .110 lobe separation over a .112? I know it's going to vary from cam to cam, but does anyone have any first hand experience?

It depends on the cam and how the heads flow.
Cams have MANY variables.
People are typically making more power with the cc305 on a 114 than the hotcam on a 112. LSA typically shifts the powerband, but it cam adversely affect the powerband when cams are matched incorrectly.

Check this thread out too.... and follow the link. Good reading.

One really good point that gets left out alot, and I'm guilty of this too.... lobe seperation angle isn't something you necessarily look at as a prime. It is used to describe the amount of overlap the cam produces. It's possible for a cam of some 230º with a 114º lsa to produce similar overlap to a 220º cam with a 108º lsa. So you have to know what you're looking at. If you don't then your time would be better left to studying cam nomenclature and trying to understand valve events.
Good luck.
