Not worth it IMHO

I've had mine since '95. Later I tried a Moroso to see if there was any difference in grams per second flow, measured by my Scanmaster. They both flowed the same. The Moroso's air was about 15* cooler in city driving during the summer. I modified the stock lid that holds the filter in by cutting out the whole face. This way the complete filter area is exposed. It does sit about a 1/3 of the way into the hole where the Moroso filter would be. My main reason for keeping it over the Moroso is, I don't have to take apart my front end to get to the filter.
Everybody putting the G2 down, of course you've all tried it correct?

If it was the supperior product then MTI, Callaway, Moroso, K&N, Lingenfelter, Arizona Speed and Marine and SLP would have at the very least copied its design, however as we all know they did not.
I am not saying that the G2 is totaly S**T, but its design and concept certainly has not evolved over the years.
The fact that the filter is still essentaily in the engine compartment and sucking in hotter air is the main reason alone why I would steer toward one of the other CAI's listed above.
I have also seen one in person and stand by my statement that is a glorified stock tube.
I dont need to own one to draw these conclusions IMHO.
