Overheating in traffic- electric water pump

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have an LT1 engine with a Mezier electric water pump and if I sit in traffic for a while the engine starts to overheat. Is this because I have an electric water pump? Do the electric ones not flow as well as mechanical pumps? The guy I got it from removed the stock cooling fan from behind the radiator to instal an oil cooler and installed a dual fan in front of it. It also has had the air deflector shield (from the bottom of the bumper cover to just before the radiator) removed to instal a ram air system from where the fog lights used to be. Does any of this have anything to do with it? I just replaced the thermostat with a 180, and it doesn't have A/C. I was thinking of installing a stock waterpump in it but I don't want to downgrade if that is not the problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

The fans are the problem. They have to blow through the A/C core to get to the rad. That's all hot air and not much of it.
The factory fans will fit with the Mezier pump but ya got to notch the plastic in the right places.

I am thinking that your problem is both the fans and missing air dam...I would return both of them to stock.I bet your problem would be solved.

the air dam makes a huge diff, def put it back and go to a normal ram air or CAI setup
