Functional spoilers for the strip?
Is there anything remotly useful out there?
I dont want to drop the car- hurts launches and then it sucks to drive it on the street.
At 110-120 i get some wickid lift on the rear end though
I might bark into 2nd-
but i'm more concerned about how light it gets in the rear safety wise-
i'm a safety freak.
all the wieght reduction (spare, rear seats! sub, lighter corbea seats and some other minor things in the rear) isn't helping anything either

Are you running skinnies at the track???

not right now
I'm surprised you're seeing back end lift at speeds as low as 110-12omph. I know George Baxter ran 155MPH trap speeds with no problems in his 30th SS... maybe the convertible is better in that respect, or maybe the SS spoiler is better. He has opted for a custom rear spoiler for trap speeds approaching 165mph.......

i'm suprised too
my friend was telling me the rear was like coasting at 120 or so
no suspension to compensate weight loss, not that big a deal anyway
stock suspension
it is 8 yr old

The spoiler is designed to meet the requirements of the PRO/Edelbrock Extreme Street class.... which I believe limits the length of the spoiler to 13". If you look carefully at the supprt struts coming up off the body (not the 'chute mount), you will see that they are adjustable, so the downforce can be adjusted.
