Re: Fun with headers

The EGR would not line up for me either? I'm assuming you have an auto and the dipstick tube is in the way? Nothin you can do about it... its too close to the header to make a bend. i blocked mine off.

Re: Fun with headers

should put the egr tub in last. After the header bolts are in.you take out the dipstick tub then put it back in after headers are in..small 10 mm bolt holds dip stick .not hard .had to do it this way on mine ..

Re: Fun with headers

Thanks, I was going to block the egr off, but the guy I got them from on ebay has screwed me and a month has gone by and I still don't have the plates, so I I'll try to bolt them in, so far the install hasn't been to bad exept for this and a few minor things(finding out draining the radiator does not get rid of all the coolant by pulling the knock sensor and thereby washing my garage floor with antifreeze)

Re: Fun with headers

I put both of them in from the top, they went in pretty easy I jacked the motor up a little on the passenger side and they went right in, I pulled the egr tube off of the intake to see if I can bolt up the headers without it in the way.

Man, these Pacesetters seem to be "the thing to do" lately. Think I'm gonna have to give em a try.

Re: Fun with headers

The egr will not line up, what happens if I just don't hook it up? I'm waiting on block off plates, is it possible to drive with out the tube hooked up?

Re: Fun with headers
