Full hooker exhaust or true duals?
Full hooker exhaust or true duals?
The Jet Hot LT's are going in within the next couple weeks hopefully. Just as soon as I can get access to the lift at my buddies shop. I originally was going to get true duals but I don't really have any shops within 100 miles I'd trust to weld up an exhaust for me. So I thought for a similar price I could just get the Hooker Y and the Hooker catback. It would still sound good but the sound would be subdued a little to make it more tolerable since it goes out the back. I could just get a cutout welded in somewhere if I really wanted it. The lowest quote I had for duals was around $250-300 and they had no idea what I wanted them to do no matter how I explained it. I would install the catback and Y along with the LT's myself. Do you guys think this would still sound good or should I go with the duals. I'm figuring the catback will cost about the same as the dual install and the mufflers for the duals will cost similar to the Y pipe. In the end the overall price will be pretty much the same. Or do you recommend a different setup vs. the hooker catback. I really like that deep throaty sound. Right now I have a cutout on the stock exhaust and it sounds great, I wouldn't be bothered when it's louder. I just worry that if it dumps below the car like now it will rattle the heck out of my teeth.
