Fuel rail question what's the best year?

What are the advantages between the 94 and up fuel rail with the "cross over" pipe at the front end and the 93 without? Is it worth the trouble to fab up something on the 93 version or ponny up for a intake and rail. The stuff will be off anyway for a le2 package and instead of port my 93 should I upgrade or is my stuff enough?

i think the 94-97 fuel rail gives you more of an equal supply of fuel,if you are going to do work on the rails you may as well mod them completely, doing away with the factory fpr and adding an aeromtive afpr to get a more even fuel distrubution it will run you roughly 200.00 but well worth it,IMO..ALSO i would ditch those 93,22lb inj. and go to 30sor 32.5

Just remember that the designers may have known what they were doing, and taken into account that your 93 is batch fire, firing the injectors in each bank simultaneously. The pressure distribution and impact of the sudden flow to 4 injectors will be significantly different than the pressure variations that need to be addressed by the 94-97 fuel rails, supplying sequential injection pulses. Might explain why the 93 rails have a different flow configuration.

I have done some moding already, I have an AF regulator and am running 24lbs accels right now but just recieved my 32's from racetronix last week. Great point about the batch fire, I just wonder if the LT4 conversions guys that run 93's can have any input. most of them change rails with the new intake. Maybe they should stay with there rail too.

I'm not saying there WILL be a problem..... only that you need to consider that your setup is batch fire. I've modified my 94 rails to feed both of them from the back with a -6AN line on each side, and welded a -6AN fitting to the front cross-over line for a "return", with a Weldon AFPR mounted under the cowl. That configuration had been proven to support 1,000HP in the sequential configuration. Over that you need to add individual return lines from each rail.
