I'm getting ready to start my 1948 Z28. A little explanation on that. I'm building a '48 Chevy street rod. I bought a wrecked '95 Z28 and took the entire drive train, including the rear suspension, tranny, wiring harness, etc. and put it into the '48 body. I did have to use a '87 Grand Prix front end because of the width. I had a custom aluminum gas tank made to fit the stock fuel pump. I'm keeping all the vapor canister, etc.
My fuel pump needs the 2 hoses other than the flexible one. They are rotted. Anybody know where I can get them, or barring that what is the best solution for buying a new complete pump?
I asked the guy who bought my car where he got the black plastic flex lines. They came with a pump he bought from Racetronix, but he thinks they sell the lines separately.
Thanks for the info, guys. A friend who builds street rods for a living stopped by today and recommended I just buy the new pump since mine has been sitting around in my garage for 20 years.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm new at fuel injection systems. The new pump flex line has what looks like some type of filler (the white part) that I think I have to take out in order for it to connect to the quick-connect fitting on the original pump. Can someone confirm that? And the new screen looks like it just pushes on, right?
You mean the grayish plastic part, with the square button on each side of the connector? That looks like the “snap” that slips over the raised metal rib on the line it connects to, and keeps the connection tight. Squeezing the button would release it.
Got the new carter pump Chevykid recommended and the tank is installed in the car. Had to cut one of my steel lines and remove it in order to get another union tight. All I need to do now is get the steering column in and finish the engine harness and then I can try to start it. Thanks for the help.
