Fuel pump relay??
Fuel pump relay??
Ok kinda long but this is what happened. Last week drove my car at lets say 2:00. It sat for a few hours and when i went to start up at say 5:30. Nothing. NOthing as in no fuel pump ingagement and no pressure to my FP gauge under the hood. So i replaced the stock fuel pump with a BBK/walboro 255 lph thinking that was the problem. But put everything back together and still the same thing happened. No pump ingagement and no pressure. Now could this be the fuel pump relay or maybe a bad PCM. The new pump awas a plug n play issue. Plugged right to the harness from the pump. Pump is not a dud beacause i ran a hot wire to it from the battery. Any info from you guys would be great. POsted this earlier but i guess nobody new. Come on guys, help a brotha out
Re: Fuel pump relay??
The fuel pump relay should be underneath the dead? pedal on the floor of the driver's side. I think shoebox's sight has some wiring diagrams, use a jumper wire or two to see what it is. Provided the pcm is actually working properly, it's either the wires to the relay, the relay, or the wires to the pump. Remember that the pcm only turns on the pump for the first two seconds of the ignition turning on. Using a multimeter would be a great diagnosis tool as well.
Re: Fuel pump relay??
Ill check it out tomorrow. For some reason i was thinking the relay was under the hood? The PCM obviously isnt turning on the pump cause i cant hear it nor does the car start. Ill check out shoeboxs tonight aswell. TY for the info

I should know, I wired it to come on and STAY on when the ignition turns on, because of problems with either a leaky injector or a bad pump.
