Fuel Pump Question

If your going to run an in-line fuel filter, do you have to remove your in-tank? If you dont what happens when the in-tank takes a dump?

We do have an inline fuel filter.

We also have a strainer sock in the tank.

Do you not mean an inline fuel pump?

Sorry I wrote that late last night. Yes I would like to install an in-line FUEL PUMP to boost fuel pressure. But will it function if the intank fuel pump dies?

No doubt it will function if the in-tank goes. However, my understanding is not effectively. The in-line pump are more effective at pushing the gas, as opposed to pulling it.

I would say that the in-line would put fuel pressure at dangerous levels if the in-tank goes. Other wise many of us would be installing in-lines instead of replacing it, in tank.

Are you trying to band-aid over an existing symptom? (low fuel pressure)? Or as a longevity thing?
