Fuel Pump install guide

Was wondering if anyone has a fuel pump install guide to help me install my holley 255 lph in tank pump into my 93 z28 camaro. I will not be doing the access door mod, i will be dropping the tank. Please HELP!

I would definetly recommend the trap door method. It has no side effects and you can't see it when it's done and it makes it a hell of a lot easier. Sorry no guide though.

Re: Fuel Pump install guide

yea ive heard its a lot easier, but i wanted to compare it to dropping the tank to see how bad it is. I have a guide to the access door mod, and i will give it another look. Is there anyproblems with fuel smell inside car with the mod? Vibrations?

Re: Fuel Pump install guide

When you make your "trap door" you just seal it real good. No smell. Can't see it from the top or the bottom. And if you ever need to get back in there, it is already done. Some cars come from the factory with these trap doors. If you want to drop the tank, everything on the rear of the car has to come off, the rear end, drive shaft, suspension, and tank. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

ive heard all you have to do is get the car no a lift, jack frame up, let rearend hang, remove catback, take straps off tank and pull the pump. If it came down to removing the rearend, i wouldnt do it...lol

Re: Fuel Pump install guide

I've yet to install mine either. I'll either do the trap door thing, or I'll wait until I have the $$ to swap in a 12-bolt...
