Fuel pump bucket?

I got my fuel pump out and the stock one is enclosed in a plastic bucket. Some of the pics I saw they just mount the pump to the rack with clamps. The bucket is supposed to help with starvation ect. Do I pry the lid off and reseal it? kWhat type and where do I get the glue to reglue it? Thanks

Re: Fuel pump bucket?

be real careful taking the lid off. just go at it real slow and it should pop right off.

use super glue to re-glue it. let it dry for 3 hrs minimum before immersing the bucket back into the gas. its best to leave it dry overnight though.

also, might want to use some tape to hold the bucket lid down while the glue is drying to make sure that it slide off for any reason.
