Fuel pressure regulator Question?????

Here's another picture. The shoebox one is what you're looking for. This picture seems to have had a gauge adapter put on it.

I'm pretty sure that the PCM does NOT monitor the fuel pressure.
That's why I had to install a fuel pressure gauge on my dashboard. The PCM doesn't have that info. It makes corrections by monitoring the 02 sensors and adjusting the pulsewidth of the injectors.

That's more or less what I was driving at. Through the O2 sensors it makes the corrections. One way or another the AFPR will not work on a 94+.

Ok now that im starting to get confused, what should i do, i have a 97 Trans Am with a OBDI custom program that has the emissions turned off. Should i get an adjustable one? or go back with just a replacement?

Price them out. If the adjustable one is the same price as a stock one get an adjustable one. Whatever the case you can always have it adjusted to stock fuel pressure.

Ok my next question is if i get an adjustable one, what should i set it at? And will it interfere with my PCM?

Set it to 38 PSI. That should be about right.
