Fuel pressure problems
Fuel pressure problems
Put the new cam in the car. Now I have fuel pressure problems. The car is running way way way lean. We put a fuel pressure gage on it and as the revs went up the pressure went from 40 psi down to 20. I still have the stock intake pump plus there is a nos inline pump on there as well from when the dry kit use to be on the car. I am completely lost as to what is wrong with my car now. Anyone have any ideas? I don't know what more info would be needed for yall to address this prob. If something else is needed ask and I'll find a way to get the info. Thanks for the help.

Also check for leaky injectors or ruptured fuel lines, but try the regulator first.
You also might want to make sure the inline pump is still operating. If its stopped, its like a cork in the system.
Since it only happened since the cam install, damage to the FPR as noted above is possibility, or maybe you hooked the lines up backwards... if they will even fit on the wrong connections.

i have no clue if that inline is working or not. I don't smell any gas in the engine compartment of the car. Where is the regulator on the car and how easy is it to check? Thanks for yalls help.

The regulator is bolted into the back end of the drivers side fuel rail. The vacuum line runs from the passenger side of the intake manifold to the pressure regulator. Just pull the end of the hose off of the regulator and look for fuel, as noted above. If its leaking, it doesn't leak where you can smell it... the vacuum will pull it into the intake manifold and you will run rich.
Pic of back of intake manifold. In this pic, the line from the passenger side of the intake to the (aftermarket) pressure regulator has fallen off and is laying on the EGR valve flange.
