I'd start to check for voltage back at the pump.

A while ago my fpr actually came loose and when the key was turned on while we were trouble shooting, fuel would gush out of that thing like a fire hose, nothing gentle about it.

Also, there was an issue after I installed my walbro pump where the clamp I used on my clear, flexible outlet hose wasn't as tight as it should've been and a pinhole-sized leak was causing my fuel pressure to drop to zero.

craig. I have the exact problem in my 95 z28. It lost power went to idle and died out. towed it home ....no fuel pressure but the you could hear the pump go on with the key. replaced the filter, still no pressure. bought a new pump from autozone. cut a trap door and replaced it. disconnecting the fuel lines was a bitch, no room to work. tried to start it.....bam no pressure. I have been scratching my head. I'm thinking regulater now, but its $70 I've already spent $180 on a pump that probably wasnt bad. my vacuum hose to the regulater is dry. Hmmm
If the regulater is bad does it just dump back to the tank? Has anyone else had this and solved it?

I have also been told check the relays.......well the pump runs...wouldnt the pump NOT run if the relay powering it were bad?

In my case it was the regulator. I had an adjustable one on it for YEARS....swaped out to a parts store one and everything was fine.
