Fuel Pressure?
Fuel Pressure?
I posted a question about a flutter it has under a load. Someone said check the fuel pressure. I have 38 on idle and falls around 33-34 pounds from 2500 to 3500 rpm. Is this ok or not? If not how do i change it.
Well, the stock pressure should be around 43-46 with the vacuum line disconnected (simulating WOT) and around 35-38 with the hose connected.
You can't change the regulator----not adjustable. So if it is not a fuel pump problem and merely a boogered regulator, you will have to change the regulator.
I don't know what a "flutter" is, but if you are experiencing hesitation, missing, etc. I would consider other causes and eliminate them one at a time.JMHO

There shouldn't be a drop at all in pressure under load. I'm not sure how you went about testing it.. but here is a surefire way of doing it. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.htm...essure_testing
