fuel pressure
fuel pressure
Hey everyone,
Been chasing a hard starting problem and put a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve. When I turn on the key, psi is around 40. When I shut it off, psi drops immediately to 0. Should it drop to 0 so quickly or hold pressure for a while? Fuel pump or pressure regulator?
Thanks,
Darryl

It should stay presurized for I BELIVE a few hours leaking out VERY slowly. Regardless it should not goto 0 in a few seconds. I actualy have the SAME exact problem, same exact read out on guage also. The problem is your check valve on your fuel pump. Get a new fuel pump, how many miles on your car?
