fuel pressure?

if the car is on and you disconnect the hose going to the fuel pressure regulator (top) your fuel pressure gauge will immediately jump up to what your fuel pressure is set up to??

just wondering cause mine went up to 39psi. and my fuel pressure never goes over 40 at WOT and it idles at 30psi.

That is correct. When you pull the vaccuum line off the regulator your pressure should go up. 43 psi with the vaccuum line removed is good for these cars. Mine idles at 38 psi and at WOT goes to 42 psi. Sounds like your pump might be on it's way out, or your fuel filter might be clogged. Change your fuel filter, and if it doesn't go up email me. There is way to check your if your fuel pump is going bad, without dropping anything or getting under the car. It's kinda hard to explain, how to do so I don't want to take up a lot of room here.
