fuel pressure?

fuel pressure?

i took a fuel pressur ereading on my car 2day and im not sure what to make of it.with the ignition on car not running it was 35 psi, car on it dropped to 33 psi, under full throttle thru 1st 2nd and 3rd (its an auto) it stayed right at 35 psi and dropped off to 30 when i let off.is it just me or does this seem kinda low??i have been having a problem with the car stalling at stop lights or whenever its idleing with out my foot on the gas.it only seems to do it in gear also.thanx for ur input ahead of time

should be between 42- 45ish.

ok so what should i be looking for??fuel pump??regulator??fuel filter??my car just has felt kinda sluggish lately too its only trapping about 102--should be 105ish 106ish??

I'd go with the ovious and the cheapest. Fuel Filter. Then, work your way up the chain. I'd personally try the pump next, then the pressure regulator. If you do get another one, don't get stock. Get an adjustable one(probly already knew this).

ive heard the adjustable ones r a waste because the cpu just compesates for it anyways??

On 94+ that is true. Computer compensates and negates any increase that the FPR might give.

my fuel pump has been really noisy lately--it whines while im driving and you can definately hear it when u turn the ignition on and not start the car.possibly its going bad??who makes a nice aftermarket one and how much are they?

Change your fuel filter first. Then see how it does. 38- 40 with the vacum line connected is normal.
