Exclamation Fuel pressure = zero psi?

Started my car last night, and it ran weak until it died (like it ran out of gas). Checked the fuel pressure today and it is 0 psi- I expected a least some fuel pressure-
Just posting this as a sanity check- If the fuel pump died, and I tried to start it a few times, I assume that would deplete the fuel pressure, hence the 0 psi?
Am I missing anything, or is it time to order a walbro?

You're not insane....0 psi=dead car. When you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump prime? There might be fuse for that, I'd check that before I bought another pump for nothing!

Don't forget to check/replace your filter.

Yes check the simple stuff first. fuses, relays, filter power at the pump harness. its under the car where the back of the seat is on the lt side..

When I turn the key to the ON position, I can hear the fuel pump prime: click on - 2 seconds - click off.
This indicates to me that there aren't electrical problems as far as fuses and relays go- It suggests mechanical failure - the pump.
Right?

Take the fuel filter off and then turn the key forward and see if any fuel comes out the line.

How did you measure the fuel pressure? Did the gauge you used have a pin in it to depress the core on the Schrader valve? If you prime the pump and depress the core of the Schrader, does fuel squirt out?

I bought a fuel pressure gage from Checker...
I primed the pump 2x and checked again: No fuel comes out when I depress the button to release the pressure on the tester, and nothing comes out when I depress the core of the schrader.

I did this too- No flow.
I replaced the fuel filter for some preventative maint while waiting for the pump to arrive from Summit...

EDIT: Replaced the pump and all is good again.
