fuel lines and pressure guages

here's my delema guys, i'm installing a new LT1 stroker into my truck, and i want to plumb the fuel system correctly, keeping the quick connects at the regulator intact. before i pulled the LT1 out, the fuel lines were cut and spliced with rubber hose and clamps, i would like to run earls fittings and hose from the fuel filter (drivers side frame rail) to the quick connect, and do the return line the same way. i also want to add a fuel pressure guage to the mix for when it goes in for tuning. if i can't do this easily, i'll just have to get the fp guage that screws onto the rail, but i wanted to keep that port on the rail open, and have a guage in there at all times. if anyone can help, or has part #'s for me that would be a great help. i'm swamped with trying to get everything i need orderd and here in time for the engine to go back in. thanks in advance
jeremy

Don't see how or why you want to keep the quick release connectors. I used compression fittings to attach the braided fuel line to the regulator and the fuel rail barbs. Worked out fine, had to take a trip to Lowes and work out the pieces but I carried the extra fuel rail assy with me.

hmmm.....that's an idea too.... got any close up's of the weld ? and how do you like that regulator... i was told by another member that i didn't need a regulator, the stocker will work with a proper tune. this is for a LT1 stroker, 10:1 compression, 30 lb. injectors.. 1 person said stay stock, and one said get an adjustible reg. what does everybody else say? i'm being very careful to get everything right the first time, i only want to do this once
