fuel lines??

ok i got my motor in the car and was hooking everything up and the fuel lines that come from the fenderwell..there are two lines and what looks like a vacuum line of some sort...does anyone know where that line goes?? i can't figure out where it goes...also is there a sensor or plug somewhere under the hood or something that affects the gas gauge? i started my car once...it went way past empty..then started it the second time..and it went way past full and stayed there? the chilton book i have shows nothing about the fuel lines im trying to figure out..any help would be appreciated, thanks mike

oh another thing..the cooling temp sensor on the head..is that what operates the gauge? cause my plug won't plug into the sensor..the sensor has two prongs and my plug only has one??

That is the purge line from the charcoal EVAP canister in the driver's rear fender. Atteaches to a metal u-tube near the middle of the drivers side of the intake manifold, the u-tube routes around under the throttle body to the passenger side, where a hose attaches to the EVAP purge solenoid on the bracket in the middle of the intake manifold.

Shoebox has the diagrams:

The float gauge variable resistor in the tank is wired directly to the fuel level gauge. Sounds like you may have a bad connecton in the harness near the fuel tank, or a bad ground.

The coolant temp sensor in the head is for the gauge, and should only have one pin. Its grounded through the head. The sensor in the water pump, for the PCM, is a 2-wire sensor.
