Fuel Line replacement
Hey guys and gals,
I just got done install my Walbro Intank pump, its in the tank and the tank is in the car, now I went to connect the lines, and I think I got them hooked up right.
My question is in reguards to the EVAP canister in the drivers side rear fendor well. It has 3 lines coming off of it that I have no clue what to connect to. One is a 3/8" rubber hose, the other to are the soft plastic lines with rubber hose ends. If I am correct, 1 of the soft lines connects to the vent tube on the tank, and one connects the hard lines that run to the front of the car.
Is this correct? If not can someone give me some advice on how to hook them up? Also I installed a 95 engine into my 93 Z, its got the wiring harness and all, but I was told that I would have to run a connection to the fuse box #10 fuse (in the engine bay) to a weather pack connecter by the PCM that has the 3 traction control wires (brown), 1 diagonstic wire (blue/grey) and 1 fuel injector line (pink). Is this true, has anybody installed a 95/96 OBD1 engine into a 93 camaro?
Any help is greatly appricated. I wanna start my car this weekend.
Thanks again,
Kevin Hershey

I think someone else was running into the same problem of having to run the wire to the fuse box. What that is for is to go to the pink wire in that connector you mentioned to provide power to half of the fuel injectors. It seems the 1993 had a different arrangement for all injectors since they were batch fire.
Thanks shoebox
Hey Shoebox,
Thanks, I was that person before, its just I am getting ready, and wanted to see if anybody else did it. I am going to connect the pink wire to the #10 fuse and try it as your suggested. Your the man, and thanks for replying to this post.
My main concern is the fuel lines and the canister thingy thats in the drivers side rear fender well... does the canister connect to any fuel lines?
Thanks,
Kevin Hershey

The forward port of the canister (has the round thing on top) goes to the gas tank. There should be a pressure control valve not very far from the end of the hose.
The rear port goes to the pipe coming from the engine.
The middle port is a fresh air inlet (large hose).
