Angry fuel line quick disconnects

Hey guys, i have been fighting with the fuel lines for hours (the line going the the fuel pressure reglator). I have the little plastic tool for the quick disconnects, but i am having issues getting the line off. What the hell?? Is there a special way to either squeeze, or twist the tool? Please give me any suggestions you can.

I didn't read that other thread, but I'll add my .02 ---> go buy the Lisle brand set of plastic tools. I spent about an hour or so messing with the OEM/Performance Tools brand and gave up. The next morning (stores were closed by then) I bought the Lisle set and get them off in about 10 seconds.
