Unhappy Fuel Line Disconnect

I am in the process of pulling my LT1 out for a rebuild and I cannot figure out how to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail - Any one have any experience at this? Sure could use some guidance please. Thank you. llm303@comcast.net

Re: Fuel Line Disconnect

There is a disconnect tool that looks like a pair of scissors that Advanced sells. You will need that tool and make sure you get the GM one. You clamp the tool down on the fuel rail line and slide it up into the connector on the hose and then slide it off

Re: Fuel Line Disconnect

Thank you for the quick response. Bought one from NAPA but it's still giving me fits. I'll keep trying.

Re: Fuel Line Disconnect

push forward on the line then put the tool in it....then pull backwards....the tool has to go in fully to disengage the clips
