Fuel Line diagram?
Fuel Line diagram?
I cant find a diagram anywhere that shows where the fuel lines go after they leave the tank. I have AN fittings on steel fuel lines that came in my rolling chassis and I also have AN welded fuel rails. I never messed with anything fuel related before so I was hoping someone could point me in a direction so I know how to run the lines from the tank, through the aeromotive FPR, and finally into the fuel rails correctly. Right now the lines leave the tank via an AN fitting into an aeromotive inline fuel pump, and then in to the engine bay.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Re: Fuel Line diagram?
The fuel pressure regulator is in the return line, not the supply line.
The line from the inline fuel pump should first pass through a fuel filter, then to the back of the fuel rails where it would connect to whichever rail you use for the supply side - stock that's the passenger side rail. Or, when you went to -AN welded fittings on the rail, did you use both rear rail connections for supply, and add another fitting (or fittings) up front for the return line(s)?
Anyway, after it leave the rails, it goes to the Aeromotive AFPR, then to the return fitting on the tank.

Re: Fuel Line diagram?
Thank you that cleared it all up. I will have to see what the previous guy did. I He might have two supply and then have one or more return. He was running pretty good boost I believe.
Anyway..If there are only two fittings on the fuel rails I can pick and choose which is supply and which is return?

Re: Fuel Line diagram?
Correct..... the fuel flows in one side, and out the other. Once you give up the stock regulator, bolted to the rear of the driver's side rail, you can do it any way you want. I split off the main supply line through an NOS -6AN "Y" fitting, into the back end of both rails. The return line comes off a -6AN fitting welded to the diagonal crossover line at the front of the rails. That way the rails run in parallel, rather than in series, for more uniform pressure at high flow.
