Fuel Injectors

i have installed a lt4 hot cam, port and polished lt1 heads, cai, headers, true duals, stall gears. and some suspension stuff along with obd1 conversion.

do i need to upgrade my injectors? maybe to 30# svos? are are the ones i have good until i stroke my engine out?

reason why im asking:

is that my mechanic told me that only 4 of them are working.

so its either that the computer is not telling those 4 injectors to fire, or they are not working.

i do have custom programming by madz28.com

any recommendations? should i just buy new stock injectors.

With that combo, 30lbs/hr injectors wouldn't hurt. It would be better than stock injectors in my opinion.

upgrading is nice, but the reason why im asking is.....is it necessary?

currently after installing all those mods in the last month, i am low on cash. so i cant afford some aftermarket injectors just yet. so i wanna buy regular stock ones, for NOW, and upgrade within a month once i get back on my feet.

do i need to get the upgrades now? or is my setup ok with the stockers?

Yeah.. they are necessary if u want optimum power.
Basically....
24 lbs are good for cam and full exhaust..
need 30 lbs when you put on heads and will still be good if u stroke the engine

Thought I heard the stock ones were good to 400+ horsepower, if that helps. My local shop also gave me crap about non-fireing injectors. Said the engine was running on 4-5 cylenders. It must be one of the most powerful V8s around if it runs like this on 4-5 cylenders! I don't go there anymore.

well my ride has 380hp with stock heads. So when i go heads i know i'll need 30lbs. Plus 24's would be maxed around 400. I followed a couple injector posts and remember seeing one of the members say his 24's were past 100% of there duty cycle with a cam and stock heads. Was a big cam though.
also another guy dynoed 15 more wrhp after he pulled his 24's out for 30's in his heads/cam lt1.
