Fuel injector

Does anybody know where I can get some fuel injector retaining clips??? I've tried google searches and tried obtaining a part number from shbox's. I'm not having any luck!

Re: Fuel injector

I broke one of mine and found a set on Ebay for cheap. I then searched on here and found they aren't necessary and only used to help keep them in place when installing. If you do want them, use this for the search "Fuel Injector retainers LT1 LT4 Camaro clips lt 1 4 Corvette Caprice Impala" They are $10 shipped.

Re: Fuel injector

Yep, you don't really need them. The above post is absolutely right.

Re: Fuel injector

I really dont need them??? If I touch my injector, and it moves down, it will squirt fuel. that why I figured I needed them because my other injectors are solid. it'll move up and down slightly.

The clips do not hold the injectors in place - bolting the fuel rails down (the four small bolts on top of the intake manifold) does. Once you tighten them down it presses the injectors into the injector bungs, sandwiching them between the rails and the manifold.

I haven't had clips on my injectors for 8 years, and the rails and injectors have been out countless times. You don't need them.

I am having a hard time understanding what you're saying about them squirting fuel. Sounds like you might have a bad o-ring. It doesn't sound like a lack of clips...

Re: Fuel injector

I run my fuel system at 58psi and no retainer clips. There is no problem with the Bosch injectors leaking. My thought was o-rings, as well.
