Don't need any special tools, a small flat-tip screwdriver or needle-nose pliers will work just fine!

And a buncha rags Seriously, go get yourself some rubber surgical gloves. I know it sounds stupid, but gas burns your skin if it sits on there too long, and you WILL get fuel on you (abd be SURE to bleed off the pressure before cracking the fittings open)..

Just observations..

Open the Gas cap first, it doesn't clear all the pressure out, but it does help. Surgical gloves is always a plus, when I changed my fuel filter with 80k on it as soon as the black disgusting gas touched my skin I understood why.

I don't know, you guys must have sensitive skin or something. I work with airplanes, and get fuel, hydraulic fluid and oil on me all the time. Never experienced itchyness, but maybe I've just ingested too much of it over the years.

when i changed my v6's it was a lil bit of hassle... **** got on me, and i just got it off with some water, not that it burnt, but if some spark or some crap was near me, i wouldhave exploded

but yeah, i just used a wrench for my 6, dunno if its the same for LT1s (i assume it would be)

i got a light today saying i'm running lean... its probably the prev owner never changed the fuel filter (90K miles on a stock fuel filter lol)
