Fuel Disconnect Tool

Does a 5/16" & 3/8" Scissor Disconnect not work for the LTx? What kind of tool do I need?

i think those are the correct sizes, mine were ornery to get loose , push the tools in as far as you can while holding the line toward the tool and it should come apart

Yeah I ended up getting it off, I had this ****ty plastic tool I rented from AZ but it worked after a few tries, the return line was a PITA because you cant really see what your doing. I ended up sticking the tool in, pushing the connection inward and then quickly trying to pull it out.

The cheaper the tool is the harder it will be to get off, but it will work. You have to push in hard with the tool and then push the line towards the tool really hard. Don't rip it off, though, because I don't think you can replace the clips in the line.

I used needle nose pliers on my 94, and it didn't take much effort at all...

It helped me when the lines finally popped off and I could see how it works. There are metal clips up inside the top of the line which the tool presses outward and lets the line pop off. Its super important to get that tool pressed up inside the top part of the line before you tug on it. I used the handle of some pliers to pull upwards on the line after the tool was in place.

Reading through this thread I had a hard time deciding how much of it was about fuel lines and how much was Rosy Palmer???

Wow I haven't been with a woman in a long time.

Guess I'll go to the mall/Sears to look at tools and chicks.
