Question front upper control arm install?

hey whats up everyone, well i have my Hals, Eibachs, and BMR front lower and upper control arm installed. i just looked when i went to put the steering knuckle back on and realized that the new BMR upper control arms didnt have a ball joint thing on them like the lower ones did. so i take it that i am going to use the ball joint things off of my old stockers. so i grabbed them and checked them out and they seem to have rivets holding them onto the old upper CA. so do i have to drill them out or something? i did a search and couldnt find anything at all about them. and if i do have to drill them out, would i just use bolts to reinstall them into my new ones and if so what size would i need. thanks in advance guys

Yes, you have to drill them out. For all the trouble it takes, just buy new ones. They are not terribly expensive and most replacements have grease fittings. I would rather have the piece of mind knowing I have new, good ball joints rather than the $hitty old ones.

Dealer or local auto supply for replacement joints. New ones will bolt in.

well i ended up just ordering new ones! i went to my local chevy dealer, which has a really bad reputation around here, and first he told me that i cant replace them. so then we bs back and forth about it and then he says that he can get them in about a week at $94.50 a piece i freaked!! i kind of laughed and told him no thanks i will look somewhere cheaper first and he told me that he is the cheapest i will be able to find and he guarantees the part will be here in a week. haha so i called jason cromer and ordered them from him for $30 bucks a piece! much better on the price and i was pleased! i should have just called him in the first place. thanks for steering me in the right path with them guys. after looking at my old ones i see now that i wouldnt want to put them back on my new stuff!
