Can I change out that front seal under the hub.I realize have to pull hub off the engine.Or do you have to take off pan? Anyone changed it with pan on.Its not leaking super bad but enough to annoy me.Maybe could rtv or something from front if can't change seal.Don't want to drop the pan right now.

 

if youre talking about the front main seal, then yes you can change it without pulling the pan. it actually goes through the timing chain cover.

before you change the seal, i would make sure that its not leaking from the water pump seal that goes through the timing chain cover. if you do end up replacing the front main seal, its a pretty easy job. you will need a pully puller and the rest of the tools are common.
