Just curious. If you have an exhaust leak that normally causes the car to run rich, does it effect WOT at all for fuel trim?

The O2s are NOT used at WOT as the PCM enters PE mode, but part-throttle conditions are used to determine delivery at WOT. If you have an exhaust leak anyway, your WOT performance is going to suffer.

O.k. Thanks

So if it's running rich at partial throttle, it will also run rich at WOT.

I wasn't sure if WOT tables were just set, and not adjusted. Thanks.

I have seen the short-term BLMs change at WOT if the AFR is extremely rich or lean, indicating they are used.

They are definitely reporting data, as a simple scan will show. It seems they are also used to correct the AFR in extreme circumstances.

Thanks guys. I guess that answers that! I need to find that leak!

I wish I could hear it when the engine was just idling. I only hear it at medium-heavy load. I can't run that fast next to the car to find out where it's coming from.

Smoke it with Seafoam. You can manually open the throttle under the hood too.

Now that my O2's are so dang easy to get to with my headers, I think I will unplug them, plug up the bungs, and seafoam it.

Good call.
