Found my Vaccuum leak :)

I've had an SES light forever, and always heard a hissing noise, and my accelleration kinda surged a bit.. I was poking around under the hood trying to find it once and for all, and my finger just got sucked to this hose! hahaa...

The reason I couldn't find it is because it's in the crease of the bend, and underneath.

Either way, $6.00 later (had to use a radiator hose with a 90° bend) and it's 100% back to normal. No more SES light, no more surging accelleration! WooHoo!

Where was this located? What do you think caused the melt down? And last but not least, thanks for the info on another thing to look for and or what could go wrong.

This is I think the main vaccuum hose coming right off the intake manifold. It's about 3" long, and just a 90° bend. No clue what caused it! It seems to have corroded away. weird.
