I can think of so many other things you could buy with that money that will yield much more HP (actually, if you think about it, any HP increase compared to that MAF's zero or what I like to call "negligeable", would be noticeable)....
I bought mine a few years ago before i knew anything about cars.

Lol, someone just paid $41 for a resistor to put in between the connector and PCM. The TPS is stock, the bolts are "pretty", the connectores can be had at any local junk yard for free (I've got about 3 hand fulls). All you really need is the resistor and a way to splice it in.
Your getting something like a 5% difference on the TPS. It prolly screws with the tranny shift points to. Everyone says a aftermarket throttle body will kill a tranny cause the TPS reading is off, this looks like the same thing That guy prolly cleared about $39 off of that auction.....

I don't think I'd be concerned with that. With a larger TB you're actually allowing more airflow at less throttle, therefore making more power with less throttle input. With this mod you aren't making any more power and in fact it does just the opposite, it'll increase tranny pressure at less throttle

From what I've read on here, thats what kills the trans. Higher pressure under part throttle. Thats the reason shift kits like B&M kill trannys by raising the line pressure.

I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time I don't play with A4's

My understanding was that with the increased power and not enough line pressure there was excessive slippage, and that's what caused failure. I'm pretty sure the PCM changes made to compensate for larger TB's is to increase line pressure at lower throttle position

Dude, you may have just helped my out huge with my stumbling problem at fast throttle movement. My TPS vs. RPM for PE mode tables are no where near that in high coolant PE mode!!! If you just inadvertently solved my problem, I owe you huge!!!! I put a thread in the computer tuning section, and once I get my new programmer in we'll see.

my car started to idle above what it was set for , I checked the tps and It turned out it was way off (over 1 volt fully closed) . Slotted the holes and got it to about .69 , reset comp and now its all fine and dandy , well at least that is hehe.

edit: after looking at this thing on ebay for 24.99 its not bad , hell I paid 30 for a new stocker and this ones already slotted. $40 is right much for it in my opinion though. Id give 5 bucks for the 2 screws tho hehe I hate pulling those things out.

And I got a question. That orange rubber thing , is that supposed to keep air from coming through the tps into the t/b ?? or is it just a cushion ??? Mine is all disfigured and one didnt come with my new tps.
